Sundays are for savoring. It has taken me way too long this year to get back to a place where I could do just that. Savor life. Worship God. Quiet space. Time with friends. I want to have space for last-minute plans, coffee with friends, miniature golf with my niece and nephews and dinner parties with family and friends.
Each week I am going to share what I am savoring and would love to hear what you too!
What I am savoring today:
La Tavola Marche – I am longing for a return visit to Italy. I would love to visit this little piece of heaven and sip wine with Ashley and Jason. I discovered their podcast last year and was addicted! They banter about day to day life as Americans in Italy and I savor every moment of their podcast. They made this video that gives you a glimpse of their story. They are selling and this is their last season so I better decide pretty quick!
Eastside Christian Church – My church is awesome and I am still just getting started there. Every week you feel like Gene, the pastor, really loves the church and more importantly the people in it. You would think that is a given, but I could tell stories…His talks challenge me and inspire me. Isn’t that what a good sermon does?
I am reading Mark Batterson’s A Trip Around The Sun. He always inspires me to live a bigger life, take more changes, take that next step.
In June I took the jump into building my own business with the future in mind. Listening to this book has helped me be more courageous. They share how awesome network marketing is. They talk about the financial opportunities, the supportive community and dissect all the misconceptions.
Things that caught my eye:
- An Honest Conversation About Abortion there is so much in this article that I need to reread it. Her beautiful words captures the truth about abortion but the need to reach out in love
- Our stories hold power, they inspire, they lead to change, they influence. This is an area I am focusing on in several ways, as a speaker, writer and coach. Great tips on how to strategically share.
- Each morning I start my quiet time with She Reads Truth. Scripture and a short devotional to start the day.
- Enjoyed this movie. It’s not a summer blockbuster, but a great story with a fabulous cast.
Recipe of The Week
This cool and bright red pepper soup makes perfect shooters to kick off your summer gathering. Top with a cilantro pesto and maybe a dollop of yogurt.
Hot Product Of The Week
Do you suffer from dry, calloused feet by mid summer. Walking barefoot and wearing flip-flops start to take a toll on my feet. This scrub is amazing, I have been using it for years. It softens and removes dead skin, leaving your skin smooth and soft.
Hope you savor the day and have a wonderful week!
